At Happybara, we love lovely gifts that make us happy. We also like to be part of a community that is welcoming and inclusive to all and where people feel happy and comfortable to be themselves. Kirsty is the founder of Happybara and started this work bringing together her employment experience and lived experience supporting young people with autism, and other neurodivergent conditions, to showcase their abilities, creativeness and enabling all to be part of a community. Kirsty wants to give employment and work opportunities to those who may find entering a work environment difficult but with the right support can thrive - all through the joy of gift giving!
Our products have a focus on British made or handcrafted goods including home decor, toys, cards & sationary and accessories. We want to give space and opportunity for local crafters to sell their designs and encourage a supportive community space for all to feel welcome.
At Happybara, we believe that small things can make a big difference and that bringing people together and offering opportunities to all is what community is all about. That is why our mission is to offer a space for all people to enjoy shopping , making our lovely products or working with us and feel included and valued. We will offer work opportunities to those with SEND and work with local partners to give experience to young people and adults who would benefit from a supportive work environment.
